WEEK 1
I promised
to let you know how we are getting on, so one week in I thought I'd update you
with our progress.
I've been giving the mare with the suspected sarcoids 30ml per day split
into two in her food, plus topical application twice daily on sarcoids and once daily on
the thrush. The other two have been having 5ml twice per day in their
foods.
General observations are that all three have improved
coats, which in a week is very impressive. My old mare also had a rather snotty
nose which has cleared totally in the last 7 days. I also had
eleven hooves with low level thrush that I was managing to keep on top of but
not resolving with application of various thrush products including athletes
foot cream. These eleven hooves have all improved dramatically with just
what they have been getting in their feeds, and I stopped applying the topical
treatments so it's the colloidal silver they have responded to.
One hoof I have attached a photo of. This hoof
belongs to the mare with the lumps. Try as I might I couldn't get any
products to touch the thrush in this foot and I've been battling with it for
about 8 weeks. I've attached a photo one week on. Other than the
colloidal silver in her food I have only sprayed this once a day topically with
the colloidal silver and you can see the improvement. Her central groove
was deep and infected in the first photo and it is coming up nicely in the
second.
I have also attached pictures of the lump in her
ear. I first noticed a significant difference in about three days, by 5
days I showed my husband thinking myself that it was about 20% smaller, he
thought it was about a third of the size. Having taken photos this
morning and looked again at the original photos I would say in 7 days it's half
the width and at less than 50% of the original height meaning 75% of it has
come away already. She has also has 3 much small lumps on her inner thighs, they
are near on impossible to get photos because of where they are and hair length
etc. These have all changed and responded to the gel as well.
Baring in mind that starting to see changes in a quick responder on thuja is 2 weeks, I'm
utterly thrilled.
WEEK 2 - 3
The week 2 photo was taken the Thursday before
Christmas, as you can probably
make out the lump was
starting to come away. On Christmas eve I gently rubbed the ear in the
morning to clean it before applying more gel and it fell off in my hand!
The second picture shows the ear healing up nicely in the third week.
I'm continuing with the treatment for the moment to be
sure it doesn't come back but so far all that is happening is that it's healing
beautifully. She's not been very well in herself since it fell off, Lucy
thinks tummy problems, but I'm getting bladder and inflammation when I test
her, so I think her whole body is going through a bit of a process with this.
I'm just utterly thrilled that 16 days after the first
application it's fallen off, cleanly, neatly and it's showing no signs of
returning. So thank you very much for that and I hope you find this
helpful!
